2009 National Specialty Logo Contest

We are proud to again host and have been told that ours is a favorite of many competitors.   We need help coming up with a theme and design for our National Specialty.

The rules:

-All artwork must be the original work of the artist.
-Artwork may be in the form of digital media or on paper, canvas, etc.
-The artwork will need to reproduce well in magazines and posters as well as onto various sized logo products. (No complicated designs please.  Think clean and simple)
-Submissions are open to anyone, including members of CASA.  If the winning selection is from a member, no money will be awarded.
-Winning artist will need to be willing to work with CASA and/or logo product company for any revisions needed.
-Judging panel will consist of the 2009 Nationals logo committee and the Show Chair.
-CASA reserves the right to end the contest and declare no winner if there are insufficient submissions or if none are appropriate or capture the intended spirit of the event.

Some Ideas:

Here are some general ideas:
-This will be the 5th National Specialty that our club has hosted.
-The first that we hosted was exactly 30 years ago in 1979.
-It will be ASCA's 36th National Specialty.
-Past National's Logo examples are viewable at: http://www.asca.org/Past+National's+Winners

The Compensation and Rights:

We are offering $300,  2 banquet tickets and a free vendor booth for the 2009 Nationals to the chosen artist.

The Colorado Australian Shepherd Association will assume all rights to use the image in any way, shape or form for any and all advertising, merchandise, or other reasons connected with the 2009 ASCA National Specialty before, during, and after the event.  Original work will be auctioned at the National banquet.  (If the winning work is digital, it will be turned into a poster and signed by the artist).
